A Strange History of Damats
Turkey. What is happening in Turkey? And what makes you understand what happens in Turkey? By 2020 that beautiful country should have been part of the European Union. It is not. It should be the country with a strong currency. It is not. It should be the country with most civil solidarity. It is not. There should be a lot of civil rights and freedom of expression. There is none. Why? Well, the answer might be surprising but Turkey has been touched by the sickness of Arabian dynasties as was the Ottoman empire. I’m speaking about nepotism. There is almost nobody ruling within the Turkish government who is not an associate of the families of AK-Parti-Members. There is rule of family, like within the Mafia. You swear your oath, you keep the Omerta and you’ll become part of the family. Don’t you ever speak out against the Don who is Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He has made himself a great symbol of Islamism in foreign policy. He is screaming, attacking, assisting and expanding his army of Turkish soldiers which he spreads all over the region. In these days his government is cooperating with Israel helping Azerbaijan against Armenia. And of course he is becoming the best pupil of Xi Jinping – while all the Uyghurs are forgotten – so he may transform Turkey into an authoritarian capitalistic machine. Fortunately, people don’t live forever. Anyway, instead of really being innovative and critical of wrong policies he is just wanting to become stronger and more powerful, making Turkey a global player like all others which is disgusting if we look at the spiritual and political discussions within all societies. People are asking for system changes, not Battlefield changes. And as a Muslim I have to add that Turkey’s policies have never been so far away from Islam ever. It is a disgrace that governments can use the word Islam like it is a drink at a bar. More and more Muslims are getting really really angry about this situation. Me too.
But President Erdogan’s Islam is full of doubts. Out of fundamental theological perspective he makes his people sleep with their mothers. What do I mean by that? Well, there is an old narration by the Prophet Muhammad about usury, about interest in finance. I would like to show it to you.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: „There are seventy degrees of usury, the least of which is equivalent to a man having intercourse with his mother.“
Ibn Majah Book 12, Hadith 2360
Lets talk about this! The Turkish Government is arguing towards its angry population that loans (with high interests) are just the best form of economics there is. „You should be thankful that our Banks hand you loans with usury!“ That’s exactly what they say. Well, of course it is not the best but Turkey is boasting to improve relationships with the IMF and Rating Agencies like Standard&Poor’s in New York City so that – hopefully and inshallah – in the future there could be a boost of ’spending‘ within Turkish societies. That’s all. There is no crucial system change or anything else to which the government is looking forward. Regarding the rising loans and their stagnating distribution because of missing credibility will certainly destroy the Turkish societies in a very criminal way. Disregard the governmental spending towards Diyanet (almost 124 Billion Turkish Liras planned for 2021) and without even caring about scandals of the past like the one including Reza Zarrab and Russian-Iranian-American money laundering; the Turkish Government has become desastrous. The so called ‚Damat‘ (son-in-law) of President Erdogan happens to be the Financial Minister of the Country. He himself said it was one of his two big dreams to become Financial Minister. The other one was to become the Last Damat of Ankara, in the light of Enver Pasha – deporter of the Armenians – I guess. As Muslims I ask them and their supporters again: How come you are making your people sleep with their Mothers? Neden anneleri’yle cinsel ilişkiye giren bir vatandaşlık oluşturdunuz? So what’s the point and how does this relate to the great words about Islam and re-Opening Mosques and all that Jazz. It’s really strange to still believe oneself with one foot into paradise while you are kicking your own citizens with the other foot. There is no more escape for any government or politician from the injustice created by their rule. Especially regarding the military policies of a nation. There is no turning back. Loss is always within any war. You just use war as a means of hard power but if the snake loses its head its whole body will be swallowed by the worms. I call Berat Albayrak „The Lying Damat“ because all his predictions were wrong and he is sitting it out while trying to appear self-confident. But when it comes to Turkey the land of Damats, with a strange history of Damats, we need to talk about the other Damat too. Yes, Erdogan has two daughters. And the other Damat is „The Flying Damat“ who is often presented as a kind of inventor of new drones. Wow! All that this world needs is loans & drones. I didn’t know that. I thought civil society, dignity and justice were the goals but probably I ain’t got enough of that Damathood or I’m just no nepotist with a lot of damatships. It’s ridiculous that Nepotism has become a yardstick by which governments in 2020 measure their powers and consistency. Well, enjoy your short times in palaces sitting on the money of your children, oh dear Turkish Government, but it would be better for you to wake up as your society is not an arab culture. And I still don’t get that financial policy of The Lying Damat. Please tell me:
Neden oğullarınızın anneleriyle yatmasına izin veriyorsunuz?
